How much is the full rent? Are there any additional costs?

The total rent depends on the size of the apartment (room) and starts at € 240 (€ 120) respectively. Total rent consists of Rental fees and Additional costs (mainly city services – waste disposal, street cleaning) Total rent amount does not include electricity and heating which you should pay directly to Clausthal Statdwerke after moving in (in accordance with meters and your consumption). Some apartments have no possibility (standalone meters) to pay directly to Statdwerke thus electricity and heating consumption is part of Additional costs – these flats have an advertisement mark “Meters included”

Is there any comission or other fees?

No. There are no comission and no hidden costs with us. Only the deposit and the rent

Why is there a deposit? How much is it and how can I get it back?

The deposit amount is indicated in description of the apartment (usually 2 month rent) and shall be payed directly after the contract is signed. This is a security for us if something is broken in the apartment once you move out. After you move out, you will get the deposit back in 5 days in full if the apartment is handed over in the original condition and there are no outstanding payments

When should I pay the rent?

You should pay a rent in advance to the 1st of every month. If the rent is not received in time we will send you reminder which may include additional costs. Please pay your rent in time to avoid additional charges.

What should I do to move in?

You need to sign the rental contract and provide us your personal data (phone number, e-mail and copy of ID-card). Security deposit and first rental should be paid before we provide you the keys.
On the move-in date you should sign Statdwerke registration form with the meters data.

Do you have any restrictions on animals, smoke or other interests that I have?

As long as your interests and hobbies are legal, do not disturb neighbors and do not spoil the decoration of the flat we fully support whatever you may want to do. Animals are considered case by case – please send us a message.

Can I rent the flat together with my friend or friends?

Depend on the size of a flat several people (usually 1-4) can rent the same flat. Still someone has to be main tenant in contract and register in Statdwerke as well as be responsible for other tenants.

Is there an internet connection in flats?

All flats have possibility for fast internet connection (100 Mbit/s) but you have to arrange a contract with internet provider by yourself. You are not limited with the choice of providers

What to do if something is broken in the apartment?

There is a special person who will help you to fix your problem. 

Is there a parking nearby?

Each apartment has free parking spaces right in front of the house

What is the period of notification before moving out?

Rent can be terminated with 2 months notice

What should I do at the termination date?

Our administrator will come to check for defects, damages and necessary work like painting and repairs. Also you will have to sign Statdwerke check-out form with meters data. Please note that the apartment has to be clean or we may charge you cleaning costs.
